Summary
Monitors surveillance and detection systems in the Security Monitoring Center at U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM), MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL — reporting unauthorized access and hazardous conditions, checking secured areas, and handling badge issuance and admin duties for ~4,000 DoD/contractor personnel and daily visitors. 24/7 operations, full-time or part-time.
Culpepper & Associates Security Services is seeking multiple experienced, proactive and highly motivated security personnel to join our team working the Security Monitoring Center at U.S. Special Operations Command, MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida.
Employment Status: Full-time and Part-time positions available.
Schedule: Supporting 24/7 operations
Hourly Wage: $29.93 per hour.
Base Wage: $25.00 per hr. and Health and Welfare: $4.93 per hour, up to 40 hours.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Utilizing numerous surveillance and detections systems; SMC Monitors ensure a safe and secure environment to approximately 4,000 DoD and contractor employees at all SOCOM facilities - by reporting all person(s) attempting to gain, or having gained unauthorized access, and other questionable activities.
Other duties include:
• Reporting potentially hazardous conditions in buildings and surrounding areas.
• Reporting items in need of repair such as inoperative locks, water and gas leaks, slippery floor surfaces or any other potentially dangerous situation to the proper Facility Management personnel.
• Conducts checks of classified Secured Areas and report unsafe and unsecured conditions to designated SOCOM response personnel.
• Assists in administrative duties such as filing paperwork, updating databases, managing Temporary and Visitor-Escort Required badges, and verifying other related information.
• Assists visitor control by issuing badges to approximately 150 daily visitors and conference attendees.
• The Government will provide all applicable manuals, technical information, training and certifications pertaining to the operation of the Security Management System (SMS), barrier controls, and any other technical equipment required to perform their assigned duties.
