Security Officer
- Patrol hotel property, guest areas, back-of-house spaces, entrances, exits, and surrounding areas to promote safety and security
- Monitor and respond to security concerns, suspicious activity, emergencies, and safety hazards appropriately and professionally
- Provide courteous assistance and directions to guests, visitors, and colleagues as needed
- Respond promptly to incidents including medical situations, disturbances, accidents, alarms, and emergency calls
- Complete detailed and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and required documentation
- Monitor security systems, surveillance equipment, access control systems, and fire/life safety systems as assigned
- Assist with crowd management, special events, VIP arrivals, and hotel functions as needed
- Support hotel emergency response procedures and evacuation protocols
- Collaborate with hotel leadership and local emergency responders when necessary
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety procedures, and applicable laws and regulations
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive situations
- Promote a positive and professional presence consistent with luxury hospitality standards
- Participate in required training programs, safety drills, and departmental meetings
- All other duties as assigned.
- Previous security, law enforcement, military, hospitality security, or related experience preferred
- Luxury hotel or customer service experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented during stressful situations
- Strong observation, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to complete written reports accurately
- Professional appearance and demeanor required
- Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must meet all applicable Louisiana licensing or certification requirements for security personnel, if required for the position
