We are seeking a detail-oriented and assertive Security Officer to join our team in Mysuru, India. - Conduct regular security patrols and monitoring of facilities, grounds, and access points to identify and prevent potential security threats and unauthorized activities
- Implement and maintain comprehensive security policies, procedures, and protocols in compliance with local, national, and international regulations
- Operate and monitor security systems, including surveillance cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems, ensuring all equipment functions properly
- Perform thorough security inspections and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and develop recommendations for improvement
- Investigate security incidents, breaches, and suspicious activities, preparing detailed reports with findings and corrective action recommendations
- Manage visitor and personnel access control, verifying credentials and maintaining accurate records of all entries and exits
- Respond promptly and effectively to security emergencies, including alarms, threats, and crisis situations, while coordinating with emergency services as needed
- Conduct security training sessions for employees, promoting awareness of security best practices and emergency procedures
- Maintain meticulous records of security incidents, inspections, access logs, and corrective actions taken
- Collaborate with management and other departments to develop and execute security improvement initiatives and emergency response plans
- Provide transparent communication and guidance on all security-related matters, offering support to employees at all levels
- Remain in a constant state of preparedness for emergency situations and ensure thorough familiarity with all emergency procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support organizational security objectives
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a Security Officer, Loss Prevention, or similar security-related role
- Strong knowledge of physical security protocols, surveillance systems, and access control procedures
- Demonstrated experience conducting security inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations
- Proficiency in threat assessment, prevention strategies, and crisis management techniques
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to train, guide, and support employees at all levels
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Proven organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate security documentation and records
- Physical capability to perform patrol duties and respond to security emergencies
- Resilience and composure under pressure, with the ability to make decisive decisions in critical situations
- First Aid and CPR certification (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in security management, criminal justice, or a related field (preferred)
- Experience in the hospitality or corporate sector (preferred)
