  • Respond calmly and professionally to disturbances, alarms, accidents, medical situations, fire-related concerns, and other emergencies within the scope of training.
  • Contact and coordinate with local law enforcement, fire departments, emergency medical services, and other emergency responders when circumstances require.
  • Enforce venue policies, post orders, safety procedures, and event rules fairly, consistently, and professionally.
  • Maintain clear and reliable communication with supervisors, venue management, bartenders, event staff, and fellow security personnel.
  • Provide professional customer service and assistance to guests, employees, vendors, and clients while maintaining appropriate security awareness.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding client operations, incidents, personnel, access procedures, and other security-related information.
  • Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, patrol logs, and shift pass-down information as required.
  • Attend required orientation, post-order, emergency-response, and ongoing company training.

The Security Officer will report to the venue on time, prepared and in uniform, and will:

  • Meet with the Venue Associate and bartenders upon arrival and introduce themselves as the security point of contact for the event.
  • Review any event-specific security instructions, concerns, or special requirements with venue personnel.
  • For outdoor ceremonies, place cones in front of the main vestibule and bridal suite door to establish designated no-parking areas, or use approved twine to block the designated area when appropriate.
  • Assist the Venue Associate with event setup when requested, including:
    • Placing event parking signs to direct guests beyond the connected lot and toward the overflow parking area.
    • Placing rolling barrels outside the garage door when weather conditions permit to establish the designated outdoor drinking area.
