SECURITY OFFICER

Summary

Security Officers protect guests and assets at a casino, verify IDs, monitor access, and respond to incidents while patrolling inside and outside the facility.

Security Officers are expected to safeguard company assets and to ensure safety for both guests and team members.

HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY

  • Assist in transporting and verification of money, chips, and tokens.

  • Control access to restricted areas.

  • React to patron and employee incidents and accidents.

  • Monitor patron and employee passage in and out of casino.

  • Responsible for checking and reporting safety hazards.

  • Responsible for verifying IDs for patrons who appear under the age of 35.

  • Responsible for identifying and reporting guests who may be showing signs of intoxication.

  • Assists with incident command for emergency response situations.

  • Use a company vehicle to patrol outside parking lots and other areas outside the main casino floor.

  • Plans, organizes and completes work timely

  • Takes initiatives, shows ownership and goes above and beyond to assist guests with their needs

  • Accepts feedback and coaching from supervisors

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Able to use a telephone, two-way radio, and computer.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, walk to various areas of the casino, and lift 250 pounds with help.
  • Be able to write Security Incident Reports in a specific format.
  • Ability to perform duties under pressure and in an interruptive environment.
  • Be current with First Aid/CPR/AED training and can respond to medical calls of all types.
  • Must learn and operate various computer software programs.
  • Ability to work in a smoking and pet-friendly environment.
