Summary
The Security Officer ensures the safety and security of patrons and employees at the Scioto Downs gaming facility by monitoring the premises, checking IDs, and providing guest service. The role requires working rotational shifts in a gaming environment and maintaining appropriate professional licensing.
Responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the patrons, employees, and all properties owned by Scioto Downs.
- Greeting and thanking customers as they enter and exit the gaming facility
- Must be able to work around animals.
- Makes sure customers are of age by checking ID
- Very Guest Service oriented.
- All other duties as assigned
- Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance.
- Must be able to read and write to ensure report completion.
- Must be able to work rotational shifts. Security experience helpful but not necessary
- Must be able to stand/walk/ sit for extended periods. May be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment.
- Must be at least 21. Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing. Must be able to pass a background investigation. Subject to pre-employment drug screening.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
