Job purpose

Join our Group Security team, where you will contribute to maintaining the highest standards of security across the Emirates Group. Our diverse security units include Security Training, Group Security Command Centre, Hub Operations, Crime Prevention & Investigation, Threat & Risk Assessment, Aviation Security Assurance, and Business Support—all working together to develop and implement comprehensive security strategies.

If you are passionate about security, risk management, and operational excellence, we invite you to apply and be a part of the Emirates Group Security team. With opportunities across various specialized units, you will gain exposure and contribute to cutting-edge security practices.

As a Security Officer, you will work independently to ensure the coordination of all security actions pertaining to the requirements, processes, and procedures of Group Security policy are carried out appropriately. You will investigate and analyse cases of non-conformity and come up with appropriate recommendations of countermeasures and corrective actions. You will contribute to the development of appropriate training and education materials and put forward appropriate recommendations to relevant stakeholders to enhance security procedures, processes, and awareness in the pursuit of heightening the level of security barriers against acts of unlawful interference, misconduct, and undesirable activity.

In this role, you will:

  • Monitor and control the daily discrepancy logs, conduct or direct investigations to establish the facts, and present a well-considered recommendation to the line.
  • Review relevant areas of operation and examine personnel and case records to ensure that personnel conform to prescribed standards of appearance, conduct, and efficiency.
  • Prepare reports in relation to the productivity and performance of staff as well as the operational readiness of the unit.
  • Collate statistics, facts, and other relevant evidence and present comprehensive findings or conclusions to be considered by the next level of authority.
  • Act as security liaison with the authorities, e.g., the police, immigration, the prosecution branch, Dubai Airports Company, etc., in day-to-day operations, investigations, planning, quality drive, and the development of security programs.
  • Conduct security risk assessments of business units and facilities within the Group and develop a security plan report that will be used as a basis for protection measures and tenant security programs.
  • Maintain relevant statistics and reports as part of the organisation’s performance and productivity measurement process.
  • Plan and coordinate investigations as directed by management into allegations of criminal activity through liaison with the line, HR, and any other relevant departments.
  • Obtain written, verbal, photographic, or other appropriate evidence relevant to investigations by interviewing or liaising with individuals, departments, or external organisations as required.
  • Prepare investigation reports on completed cases detailing facts and recommendations related to the case for approval by management and submission to the line or HR.

Qualification

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • Have 12 years of schooling or equivalent.
  • Have 5+ years of security experience, including aviation security experience in a supervisory position within an airline, ground handling company, aviation services business, or other large service-sector organisation; ideally in a law enforcement environment.
  • Have strong analytical and reporting skills, including preparing risk assessments and investigation reports.
  • Have experience handling highly confidential information and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Have experience in aviation security, corporate security, investigations, or employee screening environments.

You’ll have an edge if you:

  • Hold an industry-related certification in aviation security from IATA, ICAO, or other relevant recognised organisations or have a diploma or certificate in Aviation Security Management.
  • Have knowledge of Emirates Group Security policy and applicable aviation security requirements. For investigation assignments, sound knowledge of relevant laws, legal limits, and investigative techniques. For training assignments, knowledge of relevant aviation security subjects and regulatory requirements.
