The Security Officer/EMT, under the direction of the Security Sergeant, executes and enforces the Tribe’s gaming operation’s procedures, controls, and gaming regulations and laws. The Security Officer/EMT administers Basic Life Support care to sick and injured persons in a pre-hospital setting within the scope of his/her training and state EMT/National Registry license.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Patrols all aspects associated with Eagle Mountain Casino to provide emergency care, prevent and discover crimes, maintain order, and answer calls and complaints.
  2. Escorts money, chip fills, and machine and hand-written tickets carried by casino Team Members.
  3. Stands guard on drop and count activities.
  4. Assures safety of Team Members and guests while on the casino premises, and other areas of the reservation as determined by management.
  5. To remain mobile at all times in securing all areas of the casino.
  6. Cooperate with, and enforce all regulations, laws, and procedures of all casino departments and outside law enforcement agencies.
  7. Escort guests and Team Member, as needed.
  8. Escort guests determined to be detrimental to the casino on or off the casino property, when requested by the casino management, Gaming Agency, and/or their authorized representative personnel.
  9. Communicates with 911/TCAD, hospital, and other medical personnel in person and by radio/telephone.
  10. Assesses the nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures to be followed or need for additional assistance.
  11. Administers initial BLS treatment at emergency scenes.
  12. Takes and records patient’s vital signs, while awaiting EMS.
  13. Keeps current on treatment techniques, protocol changes, and application of new drugs, material, and equipment.
  14. Requisitions and restocks supplies, material, and equipment.
  15. Prepares required reports and maintains records of activities.
  16. Ensure compliance of all department policies and procedures.
  17. Must attend and be certified in all applicable training programs required.
  18. All other departmental duties as assigned.
