The Security Officer/EMT, under the direction of the Security Sergeant, executes and enforces the Tribe’s gaming operation’s procedures, controls, and gaming regulations and laws. The Security Officer/EMT administers Basic Life Support care to sick and injured persons in a pre-hospital setting within the scope of his/her training and state EMT/National Registry license.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Patrols all aspects associated with Eagle Mountain Casino to provide emergency care, prevent and discover crimes, maintain order, and answer calls and complaints.
- Escorts money, chip fills, and machine and hand-written tickets carried by casino Team Members.
- Stands guard on drop and count activities.
- Assures safety of Team Members and guests while on the casino premises, and other areas of the reservation as determined by management.
- To remain mobile at all times in securing all areas of the casino.
- Cooperate with, and enforce all regulations, laws, and procedures of all casino departments and outside law enforcement agencies.
- Escort guests and Team Member, as needed.
- Escort guests determined to be detrimental to the casino on or off the casino property, when requested by the casino management, Gaming Agency, and/or their authorized representative personnel.
- Communicates with 911/TCAD, hospital, and other medical personnel in person and by radio/telephone.
- Assesses the nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures to be followed or need for additional assistance.
- Administers initial BLS treatment at emergency scenes.
- Takes and records patient’s vital signs, while awaiting EMS.
- Keeps current on treatment techniques, protocol changes, and application of new drugs, material, and equipment.
- Requisitions and restocks supplies, material, and equipment.
- Prepares required reports and maintains records of activities.
- Ensure compliance of all department policies and procedures.
- Must attend and be certified in all applicable training programs required.
- All other departmental duties as assigned.
