What Success Looks Like (Qualifications)
- Security Experience: Five (5) years of experience in military, law enforcement, intelligence, or private sector security organizations strongly preferred.
- Required Certification: Valid Oklahoma CLEET Armed Security certification required.
- Security Knowledge: Strong understanding of security principles, practices, procedures, and emergency response protocols.
- Weapons Qualification: Must maintain proficiency and certifications for assigned weapons and security equipment.
- Physical Readiness: Ability to patrol a 1-million-square-foot facility, climb up to 34 flights of stairs daily, stand for extended periods, and walk extensively throughout the property.
- Background Requirements: Must possess a background that would allow qualification for a security clearance.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees, visitors, and leadership.
- Conflict Management: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to de-escalate situations and handle challenging circumstances calmly.
- Adaptability: Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adjust quickly in a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Education Requirement: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Driver Requirements: Must maintain a valid state driver's license.
What the Job Looks Like (What You'll Do)
- Protect Facility Assets: Maintain and safeguard the physical perimeter, exterior, and interior areas of the First National Center.
- Conduct Security Patrols: Regularly patrol assigned areas to identify and prevent unauthorized activity, safety concerns, and potential security risks.
- Monitor Security Systems: Operate and monitor access control systems, surveillance technology, and other security monitoring equipment.
- Respond to Emergencies: Report and respond to unusual situations, incidents, and emergencies using appropriate procedures and sound judgment.
- Maintain Building Awareness: Develop and maintain knowledge of all building-owned and leased spaces, parking areas, and travel routes throughout the property.
- Provide Escort Services: Perform security escorts as needed to support employees, visitors, and building operations.
- Identify Safety Concerns: Remain alert to potential security, property, or safety issues and take appropriate action.
- Support Access Control: Assist with maintaining a secure environment by monitoring building access and visitor activity.
- Maintain Professional Standards: Represent the security team with professionalism, integrity, and excellent customer service.
- Complete Physical Security Duties: Perform frequent walking, stair climbing, and extended standing while completing assigned security responsibilities.
- Handle Equipment Responsibilities: Maintain assigned security equipment and ensure readiness at all times.
Physical Requirements
