SECURITY OFFICER (IN-HOUSE)

Summary

On-site security officer monitors CCTV, patrols premises, controls access, and responds to incidents in Singapore, enforcing safety policies and maintaining logs.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor CCTV surveillance systems and promptly report any suspicious activities or security breaches.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure the safety and security of people, property, and assets.
  • Perform guarding duties by maintaining a visible security presence and preventing unauthorized activities.
  • Manage access and egress control by verifying the identity of visitors, contractors, and employees, and ensuring only authorized personnel enter restricted areas.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents, emergencies, alarms, and accidents in accordance with company procedures.
  • Record and report all incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately in security logs and reports.
  • Assist in emergency evacuations and coordinate with emergency services when required.
  • Enforce company security policies, safety regulations, and standard operating procedures.
  • Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or suspicious behavior to the supervisor immediately.
  • Perform any other security-related duties as assigned by the Security Supervisor or Management.

Requirements

  • Minimum Secondary School education or equivalent.
  • Possess a valid Security Officer license issued by the Police Licensing & Regulatory Department (PLRD) and relevant WSQ security certifications (preferred).
  • Prior experience in security, guarding, or related field is an advantage.
  • Able to operate CCTV monitoring systems and prepare basic incident reports.
  • Good observation skills with the ability to remain alert and respond calmly during emergencies.
  • Basic computer literacy for report writing and CCTV monitoring.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to perform rotating shifts, including weekends, public holidays, and night shifts.
  • Physically fit and able to conduct prolonged patrols.
  • Responsible, disciplined, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
