The Safety/Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, employees, and property at the resort. This role involves monitoring the premises, responding to incidents, conducting inspections, and enforcing resort policies. The Safety/Security Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment and providing a sense of safety for all guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Surveillance and Monitoring:

- Patrol the resort property to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees, and property.

- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems.

- Conduct regular inspections of the resort’s buildings, grounds, and public areas.

Incident Response:

- Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies.

- Investigate disturbances, complaints, and incidents.

- Document and report all incidents accurately and thoroughly.

Access Control:

- Monitor and control access to restricted areas.

- Check identification and credentials of individuals entering secure areas.

- Ensure all doors, windows, and gates are secured.

Guest and Staff Assistance:

- Provide assistance and information to guests and employees as needed.

- Escort guests and staff to/from vehicles and areas as necessary.

- Assist in crowd control during events and emergencies.

Safety Compliance:

- Enforce resort policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

- Conduct safety inspections and identify potential hazards.

- Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and conduct fire drills.

Training and Education:

- Participate in ongoing training programs related to security and safety.

- Assist in training new security staff and other employees on security protocols.

Record Keeping:

- Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and investigations.

- Prepare detailed reports on security incidents and submit them to the Security Manager.

Emergency Preparedness:

- Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate first aid as needed.

- Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services.
