Job Overview
The Security Manager is responsible for safeguarding company assets, physical facilities, intellectual property, and personnel. This role oversees site access control, physical security technology, vendor guard force management, internal investigations, and crisis response to ensure a secure, resilient, and threat-free operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Physical Security & Asset Protection Management
• Design, implement, and audit physical security frameworks across all facility entrances, perimeters, and restricted zones.
• Oversee the operation, maintenance, and expansion of electronic security systems, including Access Control Systems (ACS), CCTV networks, perimeter alarms, and visitor management systems.
• Conduct regular site risk assessments, vulnerability surveys, and executive protection planning.
2. Guard Force & Vendor Oversight
• Manage, audit, and evaluate third-party security agency contracts, performance metrics, and post instructions.
• Ensure all deployed security personnel are properly trained, licensed, equipped, and compliant with company conduct standards.
• Coordinate daily deployment schedules, specialized post assignments, and VIP security escorts.
3. Incident Investigation & Emergency Response
• Direct formal internal investigations regarding theft, policy violations, unauthorized access, fraud, or physical security breaches.
• Serve as the primary emergency coordinator during active security threats, site lockdowns, civil unrest, or natural disasters.
• Maintain strategic relationships with local law enforcement agencies (PNP, CIDG), local government units (LGUs), and emergency service providers.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Security Incident Rate: Zero unmitigated physical breaches, major property losses, or unauthorized intrusions.
• System Uptime (%): Maintenance and operational availability rate of CCTV, access control, and electronic security hardware ($\ge 99\%$).
• Guard Agency SLA Adherence (%): Performance and compliance score of outsourced security force against contracted metrics.
• Investigation Resolution Lead-Time: Average time taken from incident reporting to final closure and submission of official report.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology, Public Safety, Business Administration, Law Enforcement, or a related field.
Experience: 5–8+ years of progressive experience in corporate, physical, or industrial security operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. Military or police background is an advantage (honorably discharged/retired).
Licensure & Certifications (Advantage):
Valid Security Manager License / Accreditation issued by official regulatory bodies (e.g., PNP-SOSIA).
Certified Security Professional (CSP) or Certified Protection Professional (CPP) preferred.
Crisis Management or Incident Command System (ICS) certification.
