Seabury at Pomperaug Woods is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Security Guard to help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our residents, visitors, and team members during evening hours. What You'll Do

• Conduct scheduled security rounds throughout the community, both indoors and outdoors.
• Monitor building entrances, doors, and windows to ensure security.
• Respond to emergency calls, fire alarms, and other urgent situations.
• Complete detailed shift reports and document incidents or unusual occurrences.
• Assist with safety inspections and property security.
• Escort employees to and from vehicles after dark as needed.
• Help maintain safe walkways and entrances during inclement weather.
• Perform light maintenance and custodial duties as needed.
• Generate work orders and report maintenance concerns.
• Support emergency response efforts during community-wide events or weather emergencies.

What We're Looking For

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Strong observation skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and professionalism.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
• Prior security experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
