Westfields Hospital is hiring an overnight Security Officer. The primary role and responsibility of this position is to protect people, property, information, and the reputation of HealthPartners, Westfields Hospital & Clinics, and the Valley Region's hospitals and clinics. This position will represent HealthPartners, performing duties in a courteous and professional manner that conveys a positive image of the organization and that fosters cooperation and support with staff, patients, visitors, and external agencies.
This position will respond to a wide variety of routine public service and emergency support calls requiring various problem-solving techniques, judgment, verbal de-escalation, and appropriate use of force.
This position requires the ability to independently manage work, completing the duties outlined in this job description and other duties as assigned.

- High school graduate or equivalent
- 2 years experience in security, law enforcement, or public safety
- 2 years customer service experience
- 2 years military service
- Strong problem-solving and de-escalation skills
- Clear and effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office
- Ability to drive with personal vehicle to any Valley region site within 3 hours
- Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends and flex for emergencies
Preferred
- 2 or 4-year degree in Security/Law Enforcement/Criminal Justice/Social Science or related field
