- Security Officer for Transitional Housing
Job Description:
As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for safeguarding properties, deterring criminal activity, and ensuring the safety of businesses, construction sites, and residential communities, etc.
Your role requires vigilance, strong decision-making, and excellent communication skills to handle security incidents effectively. Officers are responsible for completing tours and hourly activity logs.
and navigating a lot of foot traffic, and are mainly responsible for keeping the peace.
Shifts:
Sunday - - - 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Monday - - - 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
(Total of 16 Hours Per Week) Plus opportunity for additional shifts.
Compensation:
$21.00 per hour
Security Guard Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine patrols to monitor and secure designated locations.
- Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and unauthorized access.
- Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity and ensure public safety.
- Respond swiftly to incidents and provide support in emergency situations.
- Document daily activity, incidents, and observations accurately in reports.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding security updates and concerns.
Security Guard Qualifications:
- Valid BSIS Guard Card (required).
- Current with BSIS Compliance
- i.e: 8-Hour Initial Training Certificate
- 32-hour continuing education certificates
- Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to remain alert, responsive, and proactive in high-pressure situations.
- Graveyard experience preferred
