Security Officer
Summary
Patrols and secures a college campus, responds to emergencies, monitors for safety issues, and enforces parking policies across multiple locations.
Job Scope
Responds to emergency or safety and security related concerns. Patrols College and provides first-line response, emergency management and/or law enforcement referral if needed.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- As an essential position, may be asked to report for work when the College is closed or delayed in opening.
- Complete incident reports documenting accidents or safety and security concerns.
- Distribute employee parking permits.
- Work varying days / shifts at Richland and Somerset campuses as scheduled.
- Opening and closing of College building and classrooms as needed.
- Patrol parking lots and issue citations for violations of the parking policy.
- Monitor campus for suspicious or dangerous behavior.
- Assist during evacuation or any emergency circumstances.
- Attendance at all mandatory meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
