Starting Pay: $19.00 per Hour

We are seeking professional, reliable, and customer-focused Security Officer to join our team in Scottsdale, Arizona. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for a retail plaza while ensuring compliance with all access procedures and policies.
The ideal candidate is observant, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting. Security Officers serve as the first point of contact for many and play a vital role in creating a positive experience while protecting the community and its residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible, professional security presence throughout the plaza
- Conduct hourly foot patrols of the shopping center, parking lots, and common areas
- Perform frequent walking throughout the shift to monitor activity, identify safety hazards, and deter criminal behavior
- Observe and report suspicious activity, security concerns, maintenance issues, or safety hazards
- Assist tenants, customers, vendors, and visitors with general inquiries and directions
- Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations
- Complete accurate incident and daily activity reports using a mobile device with NFC capabilities
- Assist in professionally and calmly de-escalating conflicts or disruptive situations
- Enforce property rules and company policies while maintaining excellent customer service
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk extensively throughout the shift and conduct hourly patrols of the plaza and parking areas
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to maintain a high level of awareness and attentiveness throughout the shift
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Guard Card (required)
- Valid Arizona driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to remain alert, attentive, and detail-oriented throughout the shift
- Strong communication, customer service, and conflict-resolution skills
- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and mobile reporting applications
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Previous gatehouse, residential, HOA, or security experience preferred but not required
- Ability to walk for extended periods, conduct hourly patrols, stand for long durations, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Maintain a professional appearance and always conduct yourself with a positive attitude
Schedule
Available shift is approximately 8 hours and primarily supports evening operations. Scheduling may vary based on business needs and employee availability.

- Full-Time: Wednesday - Sunday 11:00AM – 7:00PM
