Security Officer
Summary
A physical security officer role at Securitas in Ferndown: guarding a site by monitoring CCTV, access control, fire and intruder alarms, conducting patrols, managing keys and visitor passes, and keeping security and health & safety records. Responsibilities
You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:
Protection of Property and Premises
- Monitor access control, CCTV, fire and intruder alarms.
- Conduct regular internal and external patrols.
- Manage keys, locking/unlocking duties, and visitor passes.
- Complete security checks, reports, and site records.
- Ensure all security equipment is used and maintained correctly.
Health and Safety
- Support staff, visitors, and contractors while maintaining a safe environment.
- Follow and report on health and safety procedures, hazards, and incidents.
- Keep walkways and emergency exits clear at all times.
- Report First Aid equipment usage and shortages.
- Respond to emergencies, notify the SOC, and investigate alarm activations as required.

✅ Strong written and spoken English communication skills
