Security Officer/ Senior Security Officer
Summary
Provide physical security, monitor CCTV, and patrol premises to ensure safety for members and staff in a club environment.
The Role
We are looking for a responsible,vigilant and service-oriented Security Officer / Senior Security Officer toensure the safety and security of our members, guests, staff and premises.
You will be responsible for maintaininga safe and secure environment while providing professional and courteousservice to members and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Man the Security Guard House and perform daily security operations.
- Respond promptly to fire alarms, security alarms and other incidents by assessing and investigating the situation appropriately.
- Conduct regular patrols of the Club grounds, buildings and designated areas to detect and prevent unauthorised access or suspicious activities.
- Monitor CCTV systems and take appropriate action when irregularities or incidents are detected.
- Control vehicle and pedestrian access to restricted areas.
- Operate electrical and manual car park barriers and ensure smooth traffic flow.
- Verify and authorise the entry of members and their bona fide guests into the Club premises.
- Monitor and maintain accountability of security equipment and inventory, ensuring all equipment is in good workingcondition.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare incident reports where required.
- Report promptly to the Executive(Security) and Manager (Facilities) on security incidents or unusual occurrences, including matters involving the Police, Ambulance or FireServices.
- Report any damage to Club facilities and follow up on relevant security matters.
- Assist with security arrangements forClub events, meetings and other activities as required.
- Perform any other duties related tosecurity and facilities operations as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum Secondary School education with at least 2 years of relevant experience as a Security Supervisor / Senior Security Officer, preferably in a club, hospitality, residential, commercial or similar environment.
- Possess a valid PLRD Security Officer / Senior Security Officer licence and relevant grade.
- Possess the required WSQ / NSRS Security qualifications under the Progression Pathway and Progressive Wage Model, including the relevant core modules: (a)Handle Security Incidents and ServicesProvide ; (b)Guard and Patrol Services (c)Handle Counter-Terrorism Activities
- Strong situational awareness with a vigilant and meticulous approach to security duties.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service mindset.
- High level of integrity, discipline and professionalism.
- A positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Able to remain calm and respond appropriately during emergencies or challenging situations.
- Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.
- Willing to work overtime when required, particularly for meetings, events or operational need
Additional Information:
- 6-day work week (Work 6 days, Off 2 days) (Potentially change to Work 4 days, Off 3 days)
- Rotating shifts: 8:00 am to 2:45 pm / 2:45 pm to 10:15 pm / 10:15 pm to 8:00 am (Potentially change to 12 hours shift – 8:00am to 8:00pm / 8:00pm to 8:00am)
- Monthly laundry allowance provided
- Shift & meal allowances provided for 10:15 pm shift
- Staff transport will be provided at Tanah Merah MRT station
