You’ll be a hands-on contributor across security monitoring, detection, incident response and threat intelligence, helping protect our systems, data and people from evolving cyber threats.
Working within our Security Operations capability, you’ll investigate security events, strengthen our detection capability and help us stay ahead of emerging threats. You’ll also be the key day-to-day connection with our Managed Detection and Response partners.
What you'll do
- Monitor and triage security threats and anomalous activity
- Build and tune alerts to improve detection quality
- Investigate incidents and perform root cause analysis
- Coordinate remediation through to resolution
- Apply threat intelligence to strengthen detection
- Manage day-to-day engagement with MDR partners
- Improve security processes through automation
- Maintain and optimise security operations tooling
- Participate in the Security Operations on-call rotation
What you'll bring
- Proven experience in Security Operations or a SOC environment
- Hands-on experience with SIEM, endpoint detection and network monitoring
- Strong incident investigation and response capability
- Experience building and tuning detection rules
- Knowledge of threat intelligence and MITRE ATT&CK
- Understanding of cloud security in hybrid environments
- PowerShell or Linux shell scripting capability
- Strong networking fundamentals across TCP/IP and common protocols
- Sound judgement and problem-solving skills under pressure
