Security Operations Engineer
to manage and strengthen their cybersecurity posture across a broad range of enterprise security platforms and tools. This is a high-impact role that sits at the intersection of hands-on security operations, infrastructure modernisation, and intelligent automation — offering the opportunity to shape how AI and automation are adopted within a mature security operations function. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain enterprise security platforms covering privileged access management, data activity monitoring, file integrity monitoring, and endpoint data loss prevention solutions
- Execute security infrastructure projects including system hardening, platform migrations, and consolidations, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing business operations
- Monitor and respond to security vulnerabilities and emerging threats, implementing timely mitigation measures, patches, and configuration controls
- Support and contribute to architectural planning and implementation of managed security tools within data centre environments, including cloud and hybrid infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT and operations teams to ensure security controls are embedded across all systems, deployments, and technology projects
- Support the Security Operations Centre (SOC) in investigating and analysing security incidents, and recommending appropriate remediation actions
- Identify and implement AI-driven automation opportunities to streamline repetitive security workflows, alert triage, anomaly detection, and audit reporting processes
- Develop scripts, integrations, and reusable solutions to improve team efficiency, and produce clear technical documentation and standard operating procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline; a Master's degree (is a bonus)
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations and enterprise security tool management
- Demonstrated experience with privileged access management platforms, data activity monitoring, file integrity monitoring, or endpoint DLP solutions; familiarity with vulnerability management tools such as Tenable or Nessus (is a bonus)
- Experience with system administration on Windows and Linux platforms, and familiarity with SIEM tools or security monitoring platforms
- Proficiency in scripting or automation tools such as Python, PowerShell, or Ansible, with a proven track record of applying automation or AI tools to improve security operations (is a bonus)
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, or platform-specific security certifications (is a bonus)
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, engage stakeholders effectively, and drive continuous improvement initiatives independently
- Familiarity with Singapore government security standards or compliance frameworks (e.g. IM8, CSA guidelines) or financial sector regulatory requirements (is a bonus)
