SECURITY SPECIALIST

Click on "Learn more about this agency" button below for IMPORTANT additional information. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Senior Security Specialist. Providing management oversight for information systems and personnel security program policies in support of USAF, DoD, and National level Special Access Programs (SAPs). Advises AFOSI/PJ senior leadership on major USAF capability requirements and ensures SAP Information Protection procedures are followed.

DUTY 1: Provides direction and guidance for the Information Security Program for Special Access Programs (SAPs) as designated by the Secretary of the Air Force. DUTY 2: Directs the Administration of the Information Systems Security Program. Directs the administration of an USAF- wide classification Special Access Information System Security Program. DUTY 3: Directs the Personnel Security Program. Provides policy interpretation and guidance for the Personnel Security Program for the System Program Officers, government agencies and all entities involved in the SAP. DUTY 4: Directs the Physical Security Program. Ensures appropriate documentation and accreditors of Special Access Program Facilities (SAPF) are performed. DUTY 5: Provides policy oversight and interpretation to staff agency security managers and Contractor Program Security Officers (CPSO) in implementing security education and motivation programs.
