SECURITY SPECIALIST

You will serve as an entry/developmental Security Specialist at the GG-09 grade level performing basic tasks regarding security functions and tasks involving the implementation or execution of security programs with the objective of detecting and preventing security problems which might endanger the activity or service, its sensitive operations, or its classified information.

You will carry out all assignments necessary to implement security throughout the activity to meet Department of Navy and national security program requirements.

You will learn to identify gaps regarding personnel, information and physical security.

You will participate in all tasks related to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) process and education.

You will collaborate and learn to use technology in order to identify the design, and working conditions of technology to protect the physical layout of facilities in geographic area.

You will participate in all phases of information security in order to prevent hostile intelligence penetration.
