Security Strategy & Risk Management
- Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of physical security programs, safeguards, and access control measures.
- Conduct threat, vulnerability, and risk assessments; analyze findings and provide actionable, prioritized recommendations.
- Perform physical security assessments and audits, to ensure compliance with company standards and security requirements
- Maintain awareness of risks affecting aviation, manufacturing, and global operations.
Operations & Incident Management
- Oversee day-to-day security operations, including monitoring, investigations, and response to security incidents, violations, and suspicious activity.
- Support emergency preparedness, response coordination, and post-incident reviews to strengthen resiliency and readiness.
- Support the Travel Security Program during emergency situations, including briefings and risk analysis.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the security liaison to site senior leadership, ensuring timely communication of risks, incidents, and operational status.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement, emergency responders, and external partners to maintain strong community and regulatory relationships.
- Foster a culture of security awareness through training, communication, and proactive engagement.
Governance, Policy & Compliance
- Assist in the development and enforcement of security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Oversee background screening programs and ensure consistent application of security requirements across the site.
- Ensure compliance with airport, aviation, and security regulations.
Technology & Continuous Improvement
- Oversee the effective use of security technologies, including access control and CCTV systems.
- Identify opportunities to modernize security tooling, processes, and reporting through data-driven insights and best practices.
- Coordinate multiple security initiatives and projects, balancing operational demands with longer-term improvements.
Other
- Flexible and available to travel as required to support business needs, and project timelines.
How to thrive in this role?
Required / Preferred
- You have a minimum of 8+ years of experience in physical security operations and security management.
- You have experience in aerospace or manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.
- You possess demonstrated leadership experience supervising security operations, vendors, or programs.
- You have the ability to remain calm, decisive, and communicative during high-stress or emergency situations.
- You possess proven project management skills with the ability to drive initiatives from concept through implementation.
- You have demonstrated expertise in conducting threat, vulnerability, and risk assessments, including the ability to identify security gaps, assess business impact, and recommend practical mitigation strategies.
- You have the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to resolve security issues, improve compliance posture, and strengthen overall security controls.
- You demonstrate discretion and commitment to confidentiality.
- You are fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- You are highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable balancing desk-based work with active site engagement.
- You possess strong judgment, integrity, and attention to detail.
- You have a collaborative mindset with a customer-service orientation toward internal stakeholders.
Technical & Professional Skills
- You have working knowledge of access control systems, CCTV, and physical security technologies.
- You are able to read and interpret floor plans, riser diagrams, device layouts, technical manuals, and scopes of work.
- You have experience coordinating security technology projects across multiple locations.
- You are familiar with cybersecurity practices for physical security systems.
- You have strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and brief leaders at all levels.
- You are proficienct with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- You are able to conduct OSINT investigations by identifying, collecting, verifying, and analyzing to support risk assessment and decision-making.
Certifications & Compliance
- You are able to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications.
- You must successfully pass a stringent background investigation and meet airport security requirements.
- Certifications such as ASIS CPP, PSP, and LenelS2 are an asset.
