What You'll Be Doing
You'll install, support, and maintain commercial security systems, including:
β IP Cameras & CCTV Systems
β Access Control Systems
β Card & Badge Readers
β Door Contacts & Sensors
β Magnetic Locks (Mag Locks)
β Electric Strikes
β Push-to-Exit Devices
β Low-Voltage Cabling Infrastructure
Daily responsibilities include:
- Pulling, routing, dressing, and terminating low-voltage cabling
- Installing cameras and security devices
- Wiring access control equipment and door hardware
- Reading construction drawings and device layouts
- Troubleshooting security and low-voltage systems
- Supporting project schedules while maintaining quality and safety standards
- Working independently and as part of a team
What We're Looking For
Required
- 1+ year of low-voltage, structured cabling, or security installation experience
- Experience pulling, routing, dressing, and terminating low-voltage cabling
- Hands-on experience with cameras, access control systems, or related security devices
- Ability to read basic construction drawings and device layouts
- Ability to safely work on ladders and lifts
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Experience working in commercial construction environments
Preferred
- CCTV and IP camera installation experience
- Experience with card readers, badge readers, mag locks, electric strikes, and door hardware
- OSHA Certification
- BICSI Certification
- Advanced troubleshooting experience

- Four 10-hour shifts (Monday through Thursday)

- Active construction sites
- Existing customer locations
Some projects may require evening or after-hours work depending on customer schedules.
Territories
Charleston β’ Beaufort β’ Bluffton - Regional travel within your assigned territory is expected.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beaufort, SC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
