What You’ll Be Doing
As a Remote Hands Field Engineer, you’ll work as part of a team delivering high-quality support services to our data centre clients in Sydney. Your core responsibilities will include:
Installation & Deployment
Equipment staging, racking and stacking, labeling, and inventory
Installing internal hardware components (HDD, memory, etc.)
Infrastructure data cabling and connectivity setup
Configuration & Support
Power cycling, console port setup, and soft reboots
KVM/IP switch installation for remote configuration
Assisting with new and existing device configuration
Troubleshooting & Maintenance
General system and network troubleshooting
Circuit and connectivity testing with third-party carriers
Cleaning, shipping & receiving of equipment
Reporting & Communication
Regular updates to the Remote Customer and Regional Manager while on-site
Detailed post-deployment reports
Ensuring B-612 systems are updated with accurate ticket data
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who is technically capable, team-oriented, and proactive.
✅ Required Experience
2+ years of hands-on experience in Remote Hands in data centre environments
Strong hardware knowledge: replacing components, system assembly
Understanding of network infrastructure and IP fundamentals
Solid hardware troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

The Details
Contract Only: You must be self-employed and able to provide proof of status.
On-Site Role: Must be based in or near Sydney and available for on-site support.
