Self-Testing Analyst
You will develop, review, and execute the annual self-testing plan. You will monitor compliance, use data analytics to support sampling and anomaly detection, document testing results and issues, track remediation, report key performance indicators, and coordinate audit responses. You will also communicate regulatory requirements and provide compliance guidance.
Responsibilities
- Establish, review, and revise the annual self-testing plan.
- Ensure compliance monitoring, testing, and reporting align with regulatory requirements.
- Execute the self-testing plan in accordance with the Self-Testing Policy.
- Recommend uses of artificial intelligence to operationalize self-testing more efficiently.
- Use SQL, Python, and business intelligence tools to improve sampling, trend analysis, and anomaly detection.
- Ensure sample sizes are appropriate for the initial population.
- Create documentation and workpapers covering testing steps, results, and issue criticality.
- Document issues, observations, owners, and resolutions in an observation log.
- Track remediation plans through completion.
- Maintain organized testing materials.
- Report self-testing key performance indicators to Compliance management.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver compliant solutions.
- Communicate legal and regulatory requirements and provide compliance guidance.
- Coordinate responses to internal and external audit requests.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in business or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience, preferred.
- 3+ years of experience with consumer protection regulations desired.
- CRCM or equivalent professional designation preferred.
- Knowledge of consumer protection regulations, including Truth in Savings, Funds Availability, the Electronic Funds Transfer Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, UDAAP, and Privacy of Consumer Financial Information.
- Compliance experience with disclosures, deposit servicing, payment cards, stored value, and complaint handling and tracking.
- Experience with automated transaction monitoring systems.
- Experience drafting and editing consumer protection procedures and workflows.
- Ability to partner with and influence technology teams and external technology vendors.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and work independently.
