POSITION SUMMARY

The semi truck Technician at here at Harmon Scrap Metal is a skilled, hands-on professional responsible for the preventative, routine, and emergency maintenance of a wide range of equipment critical to daily operations. This includes semi-trucks, cranes, shredders, conveyors, and other heavy industrial machinery used in the processing and transportation of scrap metal. They play a key role in minimizing downtime, ensuring equipment reliability, and maintaining a safe work environment.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

  • Performs routine and preventive maintenance including oil changes and tune ups, per manufacturer guidelines
  • Mount, dismount, and repair semi tires
  • Repairs or replaces malfunctioning parts and systems such as brakes, lights, belts, water pumps, tires, and other mechanical parts
  • Oils and lubricates moving parts on equipment to ensure effective performance
  • Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies
  • Maintain documentation of repairs in CMMS ( Computerized Maintenance Management System )
  • Attend and participate in internal meetings and complete required training
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management
