Description

Be more than an educator.
Be the reason a young person believes in a brighter future.

Many of our young people with SEMH needs or SEN have faced challenges that have left them feeling discouraged or disconnected from education. Every child deserves someone who won't give up on them - could that be you?

We're looking for student-centered education professionals to plan and deliver personalised learning sessions that spark curiosity, confidence and a sense of hope for our young people who are out of mainstream education. You'll have the opportunity and freedom to deliver learning in the way that you feel best meets the student’s needs. This role offers a genuine opportunity to make a lasting, positive difference.
  • Providing 1:1 or 2:1 support to children and young people in their homes or a suitable public setting
  • Delivering personalised, creative sessions that reflect each learner’s needs, interests and abilities
  • Monitoring and reporting on student progress and setting clear, achievable targets to support ongoing development
  • Conducting risk assessments and ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed
  • Working flexibly (on a bank staff contract) and term-time only, with sessions typically lasting 3 to 5 hours during the school day
  • Education professionals with at least one year experience supporting children and young people with SEN and SEMH needs
  • Those from Primary, Secondary or Post-16 backgrounds, including specialist SEND settings
  • Individuals with a minimum of 2 consistent weekdays of availability
  • Professionals with up-to-date understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • £25–£36 per hour, depending on experience
  • Travel subsidy & £15 per day resource allowance
  • Free access to counselling and wellbeing services, pension options and store discounts
  • CPD and training opportunities
  • Dedicated line manager support
  • Bank staff role (PAYE), offering both short-term and long-term placements
