Summary

Interim SEND Reform Project Manager on a 3-month contract (likely extension) with a Somerset local authority, driving projects such as the Experts at Hand locality delivery model for children and young people aged 0–25. Day to day: mobilising projects, managing plans, risks, governance reporting and engaging education, NHS and parent-carer stakeholders.

Rate of Pay: £362.82 - £499.00 per day

Summary:

An Interim Project Manager – SEND Reform is required to support the delivery of key SEND Reform projects across Somerset, with a particular focus on the Experts at Hand (EAH) Locality Delivery Model across education settings for children and young people aged 0–25. The successful candidate will play a central role in supporting the wider SEND Improvement Programme and SEND Reform Plan, working closely with education settings, council services, NHS partners, parent carers, children and young people, and other SEND stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Mobilise and deliver SEND Reform projects across Somerset.
  • Drive the implementation of the Experts at Hand (EAH) Locality Delivery Model.
  • Manage programme plans, risks, milestones and governance reporting.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with education settings, health partners and SEND stakeholders.
  • Coordinate programme communications, evaluation and performance reporting.

Essentials:

  • Relevant project management experience, skills and qualification.
  • Proven experience delivering SEND improvement projects.
  • Experience of project delivery involving recruitment, commissioning/procurement and contract management.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership-working skills.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and reporting skills.
