Senior ABAP Developer (S/4HANA + EWM)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior ABAP Developer to join our IT team in our India office. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in developing and maintaining ABAP applications, especially in the context of S/4HANA and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM). This role will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and implementing ABAP solutions to meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain ABAP applications in S/4HANA and EWM environments

- Conduct requirement analysis and design technical specifications

- Write efficient, well-structured, and documented ABAP code

- Perform unit testing and troubleshooting to ensure high quality

- Optimize ABAP applications for performance and scalability

- Provide guidance to junior developers and conduct code reviews

- Collaborate closely with functional teams and business stakeholders

- Stay current on latest ABAP, S/4HANA and EWM technologies and best practices

Required Skills and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field

- Minimum 8+ years of ABAP development experience

- At least 1 full lifecycle S/4HANA implementation and 1 support project experience

- Deep knowledge of S/4HANA and SAP EWM

- Expertise in ABAP OO, SAP HANA, SAPUI5, Workflows, IDocs, Interfaces

- Strong understanding of SAP EWM processes like Inbound/Outbound Delivery, Picking, Packing etc.

- Hands-on experience in S/4HANA Simplified Data Model and SAP Fiori

- Proficient in analyzing legacy ECC ABAP code and migrating to S/4HANA

- Excellent problem solving, debugging and optimization skills

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an agile team

Preferred Additional Skills:

- Experience with SAP Cloud Platform and S/4HANA Cloud

- Knowledge of Supply Chain and Logistics domain

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies

- SAP certifications like SAP Certified Development Specialist
