Senior Account Executive

You will manage projects from initial brief through final delivery, balancing timelines, budgets, quality standards, and client expectations.
Working closely with experienced client services leaders and cross-functional teams, you will help ensure projects are delivered smoothly and efficiently.
You will build trusted relationships with clients, develop a strong understanding of their priorities, and contribute to their broader medical affairs strategies.
The position also provides opportunities to mentor junior colleagues and identify ways to strengthen and expand existing client partnerships.
Success in this role requires strong organization, communication, financial management, and project coordination skills in a fast-paced environment.
This is a remote opportunity with occasional travel for client meetings and onsite events, alongside strong opportunities for professional and career development.
Accountabilities
- Manage medical affairs projects from initial brief through delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, quality standards, and client expectations are consistently met.
- Build and maintain trusted client relationships while developing a strong understanding of client products, priorities, and medical affairs strategies.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders to facilitate efficient, high-quality project execution.
- Manage project finances, including estimates, budget tracking, reconciliation, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and take proactive action to keep deliverables on track.
- Support and mentor junior team members, contributing to a collaborative, productive, and high-performing team environment.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen existing client relationships and expand the scope of support provided.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality scientific communications that clearly and accurately convey complex medical information.
- Participate in occasional client visits, onsite events, and other travel requirements associated with project delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Life Sciences or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in project management, account management, or a comparable role.
- Previous experience in medical communications or the pharmaceutical industry, particularly supporting medical affairs projects.
- Proficiency with Veeva is required.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel for project financial tracking and management.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to build positive and productive relationships with clients, colleagues, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing competing priorities.
- A collaborative, team-oriented approach with a genuine interest in scientific and medical communications.
- Competitive salary range of $60,000–$80,000 USD, with compensation determined by experience, skills, geographic location, and cost-of-living considerations.
