Description

Parallel is a brand agency helping organizations build stronger brands through strategy, identity design, digital experiences, and marketing. We’re looking for a Senior Account Executive to lead client relationships, guide integrated projects, and ensure clear communication, strong collaboration, and exceptional delivery across every engagement.

This is an in-person contract role based in San Antonio, Texas, with the potential to convert to a full-time employee role.

The Senior Account Executive leads client relationships, guides complex projects, and serves as the connective tissue between our clients and our team. This role is equal parts relationship builder, project leader, and strategic partner and the ideal candidate will bring people together, keep work moving, and ensure every client feels informed, supported, and confident throughout the process.

You'll manage multiple accounts simultaneously, leading day-to-day communication, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, and proactively solving challenges before they become roadblocks. You'll also play an important leadership role within the agency by mentoring junior account team members, strengthening internal processes, and helping identify opportunities to grow client partnerships.

Success in this role comes naturally to someone who enjoys building relationships, embraces variety, communicates with confidence, and finds satisfaction in creating order from complexity. If you're energized by fast-paced environments, love developing trusted partnerships, and have a knack for keeping both people and projects moving forward, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients, building trusted relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service
  • Lead client meetings, project kickoffs, status calls, presentations, and strategic discussions with confidence and professionalism
  • Manage integrated marketing and branding projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring work stays on schedule, within scope, and on budget
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across strategy, creative, production, and external partners to keep projects moving efficiently
  • Anticipate project risks, competing priorities, and scope changes while proactively developing solutions and communicating recommendations
  • Translate client goals into clear project briefs, actionable next steps, and organized workflows for internal teams
  • Review deliverables for accuracy, quality, and client readiness before presentation
  • Monitor project budgets, hours, profitability, estimates, invoicing, and scope changes in partnership with agency leadership
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships through strategic recommendations and additional agency services
  • Mentor junior account team members, providing coaching, support, and guidance on client communication, project management, and agency best practices
  • Contribute to improving internal processes, workflows, and account management standards that enhance both team efficiency and client experience

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in account management, client services, project management, marketing, or a related field, preferably within a creative or marketing agency
  • Demonstrated success managing complex client relationships and multiple concurrent projects with increasing autonomy
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build trust across clients and cross-functional teams
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with outstanding attention to detail
  • Proven ability to prioritize competing demands and adapt in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to connect client business objectives to agency solutions
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, or developing junior team members
  • Proficiency with project management platforms and Google Workspace
  • Collaborative, proactive, and solution-oriented approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences

Nice to Have

  • Experience in branding, integrated marketing, advertising, or creative agency environments
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams across strategy, creative, digital, and production
  • Familiarity with project budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, and account profitability
  • Experience contributing to account growth through strategic recommendations and client development
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience) preferred.
