Senior Account Manager, Mass and Club

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Account Manager, Mass & Club to lead and grow our business with Walmart, our primary strategic retail partner. The ideal candidate will also manage select other accounts within the retail channel such as Costco, Kroger etc. This individual will play a critical role in achieving sales targets, executing customer strategies, and enhancing brand visibility in line with Dr. Schär’s growth objectives in North America. This is a remote position with 50-60% travel.
Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary contact for Walmart, developing and executing annual joint business plans aligned with both Walmart and Dr. Schär objectives.
Develop strategic sales initiatives to drive revenue growth, market share, and brand presence within Walmart stores and online.
Build strong cross-functional relationships with Walmart buying teams, internal supply chain, marketing, finance, and category teams.
Monitor and analyze sales data, promotional effectiveness, and category trends to inform strategy and decision-making.
Ensure flawless execution of retail programs, new item launches, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand, manage inventory, and optimize supply chain performance.
Lead annual contract negotiations, pricing proposals, and trade marketing initiatives.
Manage budgets, trade spend and ensure ROI on customer programs.
Oversee secondary accounts (as assigned), ensuring growth and profitability aligned with overall business objectives.
Provide regular reporting and updates to the General Manager on account performance and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
5–8 years of experience in key account management or national account sales, preferably in the food or CPG industry.
Proven track record of success managing Walmart or a major national retail account.
Club channel/Walmart/Kroger/Costco experience preferred.
Strong analytical and financial acumen; experience with data platforms like Retail Link and syndicated data tools.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM tools is a plus.
Willingness to travel as needed (approx. 50-60%).
