Senior Accountant

We are seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at a CA firm located in Andheri MIDC, Mumbai. The ideal candidate will possess strong practical accounting knowledge and hands-on experience in accounts finalization and reconciliation. This role requires excellent English communication skills, as the candidate will coordinate regularly with a Canada-based accounting team and international clients to ensure accurate financial records and timely reporting. Key responsibilities include handling end-to-end accounts finalization and preparation of financial statements, managing month-end and year-end closing activities, performing bank and ledger reconciliations, and resolving any accounting discrepancies. The Senior Accountant will also prepare and review journal entries, general ledgers, and financial reports, ensuring compliance with applicable Indian accounting principles and practices. Additionally, the candidate will assist with tax calculations and tax return preparation, while maintaining proper accounting records and supporting documentation. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field, along with 3-7 years of relevant accounting experience. Strong practical knowledge of accounting principles, journal entries, and financial reporting is essential, as is hands-on experience in accounts finalization and financial statement preparation. Proven experience in bank reconciliation, ledger reconciliation, and discrepancy resolution is required, along with excellent spoken and written English communication skills. Knowledge of Indian accounting practices and taxation is also necessary. Candidates must be comfortable working from the office in Andheri MIDC, Mumbai, and be available for rotational day shifts of 9 hours.
