The Opportunity

A well-established and growing accountancy practice is seeking to appoint a Senior Accountant to join its Cavan office.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to join a high-performing team delivering quality advisory and accounting services to a diverse SME client base. You will work closely with Partners and senior leadership while playing a key role in supporting regional growth and client development.

The Role

As Senior Accountant, you will:

• Manage a portfolio of SME clients including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies

• Review financial statements and tax computations

• Provide commercially focused advisory support to business owners

• Act as a key point of contact for clients, delivering high-quality service

• Work closely with Partners to drive growth and client impact across the region

• Contribute to the mentoring and development of junior team members

This role offers strong exposure across compliance and advisory within a collaborative and progressive practice environment.

The Ideal Candidate

• ACA / ACCA / CPA qualified

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a public practice environment

• Strong technical knowledge across accounts preparation and taxation

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines

• Commercial awareness and a client-focused mindset

• Motivated, professional, and committed to ongoing development
