HIRING: SENIOR ACCOUNTANT, FINANCIAL CONTROL & REPORTING

Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• ACA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional qualification is strongly preferred.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in accounting, audit, financial reporting, financial control, or finance operations.
• Experience in fintech, lending, financial services, structured finance, auto-trade, or another transaction-driven business is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, month-end close, budgeting, cost control, cash flow management, statutory compliance, and management reporting.
• Good understanding of Nigerian tax laws and statutory requirements.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, with experience using Xero or similar accounting software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and support month-end financial close activities.
• Prepare accurate management accounts and financial reports.
• Maintain the integrity of accounting records and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and business performance reporting.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and payment planning.
• Strengthen financial controls, accounting processes, and reporting standards.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, WHT, PAYE, pension, and other statutory obligations.
• Coordinate audit readiness and support external auditors.
• Review the work of junior finance team members and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve finance-related issues.
