Senior Accountant - Invoice to Pay, Ahmedabad, India

Qatar Airways is recruiting for the role of Senior Accountant - Invoice to Pay based at our Global Business Services (GBS) in Ahmedabad, Gujarat (India).

The position is primarily responsible for performing account payable related activities such as verifying, reconciling, reporting & monitoring supplier invoices as per Qatar Airways group policies, procedures & guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Perform invoice data entry of high-level complexities in various ERP systems: Oracle, JDE, Microsoft AX, etc with proper level of accuracy & timelines standards to avoid supplier penalties, or misleading financial information that may result in operational disruption or wrong decision making,

• Perform accounting of high-level complexity supplier categories assigned by team lead,

• Ensures discrepancies/ missing data are reported for resolution to line manager, Business Finance, or other QR group units,

• Generate & complete the accounting documents with high level complexities given careful consideration to payment modes-Quick/ Manual payment process, Batch payment process, to automatically capture invoices in correct payment channels,

• Process vendor advances, prepaid expenses, set-off, debit notes, credit notes, month end journal vouchers, regular statistical reports, vendor reconciliations, as per plan with accuracy.

• Follow up on raised POs/ GRNs & monitor invoices on hold.

• Perform period end close activities related to GBS finance Invoice to pay unit,

• Escalate any CRM/ I2P incident tracker queries where SLAs are due to expire-to ensure on time responses to suppliers & other stakeholders.

• Handle vendor queries in compliance with internal procedures to ensure high level quality services,

• Follow-up on pending queries & liaise with user depts daily,

• Respond to both internal & external audit queries to ensure complete, timely & accurate responses to information requested,

• Prepare & book adjusting journal entries on I2P transactions,

• Co-ordinate, follow up & maintain the assigned balance sheet/ bank reconciliation schedules database.
