Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our finance team in West Bengal. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting practices and principles, with a strong focus on financial reporting and compliance. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the company's financial records, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements. - Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately. - Oversee the accounts finalisation process and ensure timely completion of financial reports. - Manage the preparation and filing of income tax returns, ensuring compliance with all tax regulations. - Handle taxation matters, including GST and TDS, ensuring timely payments and filings. - Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date. - Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes. - Assist in audits and liaise with external auditors as necessary. Required Skills: - Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. - Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis. - Experience with taxation, including GST and TDS regulations. - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. - Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
