Senior Accountant with Hungarian

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation and timely delivery of accurate financial reports and statutory financial statements in accordance with applicable regulations and accounting standards.
• Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring their completeness and accuracy.
• Coordinate the tax provision calculation process and cooperate with an external provider in the preparation of tax returns.
• Prepare and support the submission of monthly VAT returns and Intrastat reports.
• Support other countries in the verification, control, and reconciliation of VAT-related data.
• Prepare national statistical reports, where required.
• Oversee selected financial controls, support their review, and implement appropriate control actions.
• Cooperate with internal and external auditors and provide the necessary information and documentation for audit purposes.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and implement best practices to increase efficiency, productivity, and accuracy.
• Participate in regional and global finance initiatives and projects.
• Perform additional projects and tasks in line with current business needs.

Requirements:

• University degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience in an accounting position, including the ability to independently manage accounting processes.
• Very good command of Hungarian.
• Good command of English or Polish.
• Experience working with financial and accounting systems; knowledge of ERP systems is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills, good organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Independence, accountability, and the ability to work under time pressure.
