Senior Accounting Analyst

As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Senior Accounting Analyst to join our team and play a key role in delivering accurate, timely and insightful financial reporting.
This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant looking to develop their technical accounting expertise while partnering with stakeholders across the business and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll be doing
As a Senior Accounting Analyst, you'll be responsible for managing complex areas of the accounting and reporting process, ensuring robust financial control and high-quality financial information.
What you'll do
Driving month-end activities to ensure accurate and timely reporting of key P&L areas.
Preparing and reviewing complex month-end journals.
Providing detailed variance analysis and insightful commentary to stakeholders.
Supporting month-end reviews with a strong understanding of operational performance.
Ensuring compliance with Whitbread's Financial Control Framework.
Completing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, identifying risks and resolving reconciling items.
Supporting internal and external audit requirements.

What you'll need
Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
Strong understanding of key financial processes, including:
Month-end reporting
Budgeting and forecasting
Year-end activities
Balance sheet reconciliations
Financial controls
Previous experience in month-end reporting and financial control environments.
Strong Excel and systems skills.
Experience building relationships and influencing stakeholders at different levels of the business.
