Job Description:
- Handle full sets of accounts, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and bank reconciliations.
- Perform monthly, quarterly and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and relevant schedules.
- Manage accounting for trading transactions, including purchases, sales, inventory and cost of goods sold.
- Monitor and reconcile inventory and inter-company balances.
- Handle foreign currency transactions and perform foreign exchange revaluation.
- Prepare GST calculations and support GST submissions.
- Prepare cash flow reports and monitor the company's cash position.
- Review invoices, payment requests, receipts and supporting documents.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bank sand other external parties.
- Assist with annual audit and tax matters.
- Ensure accounting records are maintained accurately and in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards(SFRS).
- Assist management with financial analysis, budgeting and other ad-hoc finance projects
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls and reporting.
Job Requirements:
- Advance Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent is an advantage.
- 5–8 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a trading, distribution, wholesale or similar environment.
- Accounting & Financial Reporting – Good understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.
- Attention to Detail & Accuracy – High level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling financial transactions, reconciliations, and accounting records.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills – Ability to analyse financial information, identify discrepancies, investigate issues, and provide appropriate solutions.
- Commodity Trading Awareness – Understanding of trading transactions, inventory, trade settlements, trading costs, and P&L is an advantage.
