Senior Accounts Executive (Accounting Firm)

Salary: Up to $4,500 (Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.)

Location: Robinson Road
Hours/Days: Monday to Friday, 9AM to 6PM

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Handle a portfolio of clients from various industries.
  • Prepare and review full sets of accounts in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Prepare management accounts, financial statements, and supporting schedules.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records and reconciliations.
  • Review general ledger transactions and investigate discrepancies.

Client Management

  • Act as the primary contact for assigned clients on accounting matters.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and provide professional advice on accounting issues.
  • Liaise with clients to obtain necessary information and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure client deliverables are completed within established timelines.

Compliance & Regulatory Matters

  • Assist clients with statutory compliance requirements.
  • Support the preparation of tax schedules and information required for tax submissions.
  • Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Supervise, train, and mentor junior account associates.
  • Review work completed by junior staff to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Provide guidance on technical accounting matters and best practices.
  • Assist management in resource planning and workflow coordination.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiency.
  • Support the implementation and enhancement of accounting systems and internal controls.
  • Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures and best practices.


Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, or equivalent are preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within an accounting firm, outsourcing firm, or professional services environment.
  • Experience managing multiple client portfolios.
  • Experience preparing full sets of accounts and financial reports.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with tax and regulatory compliance requirements.
