Senior Actuary Outcomes
You will lead claims and savings projections, retrospective analyses, and actuarial modeling across employer benefit programs. You will build and scale ROI models, assess financial risk and performance guarantees, analyze healthcare claims data, support RFPs, and present outcomes methodology to clients, brokers, and consultants. You will also manage external actuarial vendors and contribute to research, publications, conferences, and marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Own claims and savings projections and retrospective analyses across employer benefit programs
- Build, maintain, and scale actuarial and ROI models in Excel
- Conduct actuarial confidence evaluations for revenue recognition and financial risk assessments
- Support RFP responses with actuarial projections, benchmarking, and methodology documentation
- Perform detailed claims analytics for individual and pooled client populations
- Present outcomes methodology, ROI, and actuarial assumptions to clients, brokers, and benefits consultants
- Contribute to white papers, research publications, industry conferences, and marketing initiatives
- Manage external actuarial vendor relationships and oversee deliverable quality
Requirements
- Hold an FSA, ASA, equivalent actuarial credential, or meaningful progress toward credentialing; alternatively hold a graduate degree with 6+ years of directly relevant actuarial or healthcare analytics experience
- Demonstrate analysis design, modeling, and data manipulation skills
- Use a coding language, preferably SQL, and Excel
- Use AI to produce and quality-assure code for data exploration and analysis
- Present technical material to non-technical external audiences
- Manage competing priorities and self-direct in an unstructured environment
- Demonstrate familiarity with medical and pharmacy claims structures, PMPM/PBPM cost modeling, and trend analysis
