Lead Project Engineer (Process Automation)

Bangkok/Rayong, Thailand

He/She shall maintain a high level of general knowledge of engineering solutions, standards and procedures to be able to influence/ lead internal and external customers in the effective management of engineering scope of large projects from concept to completion. He/She shall lead and give guidance to an engineering team in a project environment performing basic & detailed engineering, material specification for procurement, configuration of hardware / software (DCS/SIS/FGS), testing, installation and commissioning of Honeywell supplied systems while interfacing with clients on technical issues and identifying changes or variations in the scope of supply.

Key Areas of Responsibility

•To work with Project Manager and Engineers to review design inputs and schedule planning.

•To perform and review the basic design & detailed engineering while leading the engineering team in issuance of the engineering deliverables.

•To plan and prepare the overall engineering schedule for resources and deliverable submissions

•Ensure all technical requirements and obligations with customers are understood and fulfilled.

•To prepare Functional Design Specifications.

•To assist Project Manager in identification of design changes and submission to clients for variation orders.

•Perform subcontract management to optimize vendor’s performance.

•To assist Project Manager in preparation & compilation of the material requisition list and material specifications for procurement.

•To initiate utilization of best engineering practices, training, tools and methodologies.

•To plan and guide the engineering team in configuration of DCS/SIS/FGS hardware & software.

•To plan and prepare the testing procedure and execute the testing of system for acceptance by clients.

•To plan and supervise site installation and commissioning works.

•To prepare and update the as-built documentation timely.

Additional Requirements:

Preferably candidate with experiences on Honeywell Experion PKS and Safety Manager. Candidates with other Process Control system/product will be consider as well.

Qualifications/ Experience/ Knowledge

•Bachelor Degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical/Electronic, Chemical, Process Control & Instrumentation) or equivalent from a recognized institution.

•Capability of leading a team of 3 – 10 engineers, often multi-disciplines and possibly handling more than one project at one time.

•Able to lead scheduling, planning, and cost during the execution of the project.

•Able to command respect and delegate work to team.

•Possess customer delight as central objective.

•5 – 12 years of relevant experience in project execution and system engineering works preferably in the petrochemical and oil & gas industries.

•Honeywell experience is preferred, but exposure to other similar systems & field instrumentation is an advantage.

•Good in leadership and planning skills

•Good knowledge in P.C. skills

•Set-up and trouble-shooting

•Able to write some software programs

•Good knowledge in control concept
