This position is part of the Office of Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs, Department of Energy. As a Senior Advisor, you will serve as a subject matter expert, perform a wide range of complex assignments, provide authoritative advice, consultation, and recommendations on complex legislative, intergovernmental, and programmatic matters

Veterans shape the future of energy As a Senior Advisor, you will: Serve as an advisor and recognized subject-matter expert to senior department executives and top-level managers on complex, high-priority administrative and management issues. Apply expert knowledge and analyses of new or proposed legislation, federal regulations, and intergovernmental policies to determine their short and long-term impact on agency programs and operations. Direct and oversee complex, multi-dimensional special projects and initiatives that cross organizational lines to develop innovative solutions to novel and unprecedented issues and improve agency-wide effectiveness. Coordinate high-level meetings, conferences, and engagement with internal and external stakeholders, including Congressional and intergovernmental staff, other federal agencies, and private industry. Prepare and review highly sensitive reports, position papers, executive briefings, and official correspondence for senior leadership on complex policy and programmatic matters.
