Senior Advisor, Human Resources
NewWhat You'll Do:
- Serve as the lead HR partner for the Fort Saskatchewan and Joffre Nitrogen sites, providing strategic HR guidance to site leadership and supporting the achievements of business objectives
- Partner with leaders to develop workforce plans and address current and future talent needs
- Provide coaching and consultation on employee relations, organizational effectiveness, change management, performance management, and other people-related matters
- Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring fair and consistent application of HR policies, practices, and employment legislation while mitigating organizational risk
- Lead and support the execution of HR programs and processes, including compensation, performance management, talent development, employee engagement, retention, and workforce planning
- Collaborate with Centres of Excellence and HR Operations to deliver HR services, programs, and solutions that meet business needs
- Analyze workforce data, employee feedback, exit interviews, and other people metrics to identify trends and recommend actions for continuous improvement
- Support disability management and employee accommodation processes in partnership with leaders, COEs, and third-party providers
- Consult on organizational change, restructuring, business improvement initiatives, and other projects impacting people and culture
- Participate in and lead special HR projects and initiatives as needed
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 6 years of progressive HR generalist experience
- Experience with HRIS systems and advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Working knowledge of Alberta employment legislation and regulations
- Experience supporting manufacturing operations and/or fast-paced growth environments
- Proven ability to coach and influence leaders and build strong partnerships across multiple business functions
- Experience leading organizational change initiatives and supporting business transformation
- Excellent communication, presentation, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated success working in a matrixed environment and balancing enterprise and site-specific priorities
- Ability to travel approximately 20%
