Job Title: Senior Agile Project Manager
Reports to: Head of Business Solutions Consulting
ROLE OVERVIEW
The successful individual, comfortable in engaging with stakeholders at all levels of the organization recognizes the art of facilitation as one of the key skills of a Project Manager and passionately lives the belief that technology not just enables business, but will increasingly become one of the key drivers of successful 21st century businesses .
Prioritization of requirements, and the documentation thereof in a manner that is comprehensive enough to reflect understanding of business requirements. The Project Manager will be responsible for creating solutions, achieving deadlines and delivering excellence through effective interaction with clients, suppliers and the internal production team.
Significant experience in iterative methodologies could well be the deal clincher.
Specific Requirements
A proven project track record in the form of a project summary
Minimum a project management certification (Prince 2, PMBOK, Certification or diploma through a recognised learning organisation)
Clearly demonstrable leadership skills through applicable references
Delivered projects through the project lifecycle with applicable references either in the form of verbal references or project documentation (included in the project summary)
Plan The Project
In consultation with the appropriate manager, recruit, interview and select staff and/or volunteers with appropriate skills for the project activities
Manage project staff and/or volunteers according to the established policies and practices of the organization
Ensure that personnel files are properly maintained and kept confidential
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
Ensure that all project personnel receive an appropriate orientation to the organization and the project
Ensure resource availability and allocation
Contract qualified consultants to work on the project as appropriate
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
Staff The Project

Implement The Project
Execute the project according to the project plan
Develop forms and records to document project activities
Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured
Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project
Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project
Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards
Control The Project
Write reports on the project for management and for funders
Communicate with funders as outlined in funding agreements
Monitor and approve all budgeted project expenditures
Monitor cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance to senior management on a regular basis (monthly/bimonthly)
Manage all project funds according to established accounting policies and procedures
Ensure that all financial records for the project are up to date
Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation for funders as outlined in funding agreements
Perform risk management to minimize project risks
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
Minimum Experience
10 years + for a Senior Project Manager position with extensive planning and/or management experience on multiple software development projects.
5 years+ experience for an Intermediate Project Manger
2 years+ experience for a Junior Project Manager
Experience in SDLC methodologies such AGILE (SCRUM), Scaled AGILE, DAD, RUP , Waterfall (PMP, PMBOK)

Education and Experience
BSc, BCom or BTech in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related technology discipline.
Qualification in project management or equivalent - PMP / PRINCE II / PMBOK certification
Proficient in project management software
Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
Direct work experience in project management capacity
Proven experience in people management
