Senior AI Agent Engineer

Summary

Design and build autonomous AI agents that decompose goals into actionable steps, integrate with enterprise systems, and deploy robust, observable agentic workflows with built-in failure handling.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Architect and build autonomous, multi agent systems that decompose goals into action sequences and execute them with bounded autonomy, not static prompt chains

  • Develop RAG pipelines, tool calling, memory architectures, and orchestration layers that keep reasoning, retrieval, tool execution, and presentation cleanly separated

  • Integrate AI agents with enterprise platforms including ERP, CRM, HRMS, SCM, ITSM, document systems, databases, and internal or third party APIs

  • Design failure handling before deployment: hallucinations, infinite loops, tool failures, degraded retrieval, runaway costs, and rate limits, with retry logic, fallbacks, and bounded execution built in

  • Build observability, monitoring, and cost/action ceilings so agents cannot operate unchecked, and failures are diagnosable without manual inspection

  • Build internal AI operations tooling for orchestration, scheduling, governance, lifecycle management, and analytics

  • Create dashboards and reporting that connect AI performance to operational efficiency, productivity, and ROI

  • Train, fine tune, and deploy machine learning models where they serve as tools inside larger agentic systems

  • Design configurable, multi tenant platforms that adapt across use cases and clients through strong abstractions rather than one off rebuilds

  • Partner with product, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to convert manual processes into intelligent, autonomous workflows

  • Mentor AI engineers and developers, run code reviews, and ensure production ready delivery of AI solutions

  • Build feedback loops and evaluation harnesses so systems improve from real usage rather than degrade over time.

Experience

  • 3+ years of professional software engineering, building and deploying enterprise AI agents, agentic systems, or intelligent automation platforms

  • Demonstrated success shipping AI solutions with measurable business impact in production, not just proof of concept

  • Hands on experience across at least a few of: customer support, sales, HR, finance, procurement, supply chain, IT service desk, document intelligence, or knowledge management automation

  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud native architecture, APIs, databases, and DevOps

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or a related field

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across cross functional teams.

  • Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) and Agent to Agent (A2A) communication

  • Experience building enterprise Digital Workforce or multi tenant agentic platforms

  • Knowledge of Responsible AI, governance, compliance, and security frameworks

  • Experience with automation platforms such as Zapier, Make, or n8n
