Senior AI Engineer - Agentic Platform (MCP)
We're looking for a Senior AI Engineer – Agentic Platform (MCP) to join our team in Cyprus in a hybrid working mode.
At EPAM, we are developing an enterprise Agentic AI platform that leverages autonomous AI agents to enhance engineering and delivery workflows across the organization. This platform integrates with enterprise tools via Model Context Protocol (MCP) services, enabling AI agents to interact with systems like Jira/Xray, GitHub, CI/CD systems, documentation platforms, and planning tools.
By joining us, you'll be designing and implementing core MCP services, enabling scalable and secure integrations for AI agent-driven workflows. Your work will significantly contribute to advancing AI-driven automation in enterprise environments, improving productivity and quality in software delivery.
Responsibilities
- Develop Model Context Protocol (MCP) services to enable agent interactions
- Implement integrations with enterprise platforms such as Jira/Xray, GitHub, CI/CD systems, and documentation tools
- Design AI-safe APIs and tool interfaces to ensure secure AI-agent interaction
- Build scalable, reliable Python-based microservices supporting enterprise workflows
- Ensure high performance and fault tolerance for MCP services
- Participate in architectural discussions and influence platform design decisions
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in Python for backend development
- Proven experience in building APIs and microservices
- Experience integrating enterprise platforms like Jira and GitHub
- Familiarity with cloud environments and deployment processes
- Understanding of AI/LLM ecosystems and related technologies
Nice to have
- Experience with developer productivity or DevOps platforms
- Hands-on experience building automation for SDLC workflows
- Prior exposure to LLM APIs and prompt-based automation
